Hi,

I'm Rob, I'm a baptist minister in the Baptist Union of Great Britain, and I'm pastor of Oxlow Lane Baptist Church in Dagenham since 2010.

More importantly, I'm a disciple of Jesus Christ, having given my life to him more years ago than I care to remember.

I have a wife, Sharon and two children, Anna and Eddie who are a great joy to me, and as well as enjoying spending time with my family I enjoy photography and sailing radio control one metre class yachts.

You won't find much about those hobbies on this site, though. I might mention them from time to time, but I wanted this website to be about one thing, and one thing only. And that's the gospel of Jesus Christ. To that end, this is a place where I put my reflections on the Bible, and the majority of the sermons that I preach in the hope that they will share something of the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people who stumble upon this site.

The intention is quite simple. I want people to know about Jesus. I believe in freedom of belief - I'm not interested in forcing you to believe anything. The gospel doesn't work like that anyway. Instead, I hope and pray that by reading these things, and by comparing them with the scripture that I hope they constantly and consistently point to, you will come to agree with the core components of what I believe. You can find out what that is on the 'why Jesus?' page. But in extremely brief summary, that Jesus Christ, fully man and fully God, died to save me from my sinfulness, and that I owe my life entirely to him. Secondly that I'm called to follow him and whatever cost that may entail is small by comparison to his gift of salvation grace given me on the cross.
